A Huge THANKS to Amber Graupner for giving up her time in her busy day to teach us all amateurs how to do some basic gymnastics!! It was a fun class and looking forward to the next. We had a bunch of people walking on their hands!! (some even backwards; isn’t that right Kenya!)  To all you who missed it or came please stay tuned for dates for our next class.

WOD August 18th

Partner WOD!!!!

Strength: None

WOD:

15 Minute AMRAP! (As many rounds as possible)

Box Jumps 24Men/20Women
Overhead Walk 95#Men/65#Women
3 Burpees at the top of every minute.

Partner up with an athlete at your level.  When the clock begins both athletes will start off by doing 3 burpees.   Immediately afterwards Athlete #1 will start doing as many box jumps as possible while your partner Athlete #2 does a Overhead Walk 30 ft to a mark and 30 ft back (total 60 Feet).  Once partner Athlete #2 gets back to the box he/she relieves Athlete #1 from doing box jumps and the partners will switch as Athlete #2 picks up where Athlete #1 was at on the rep count of box jumps.  Athlete #1 will pick up the loaded barbell and do the Overhead Walk (60 Ft) and both Athletes will keep switching back and forth for a total of 15 minutes.  Remember at the top of the minute the Coach will Scream BURPEES!  and the Athletes will drop whatever they are doing and jump down and do 3 Burpees.  Once they finish the Burpees they will continue where they left off.  Your team score is the Total Amount of Box Jumps you completed.

If there is a single Athlete w/o a partner this workout turns into
As Many Rounds As Possible in 15 Minutes of:
15 Box Jumps
100 Meter Overhead Walk
3 Burpees at the top of every minute

With Partners of 2, do the  following:

One member of the team is holding (2) 53/35 lb KB’s in the rack position  The other member of the team Rows the prescribed distance and then they switch positions and repeat. There is a 5 burpee penalty for every time the KB comes out of the racked position that is added up and assesed by the team after the workout. There is also a 5 burpee penalty if the transition by the team members is over 20 seconds. The rowing distance requirements are as follows:

WOD August 10

To our new GROUPON MEMBERS and other Future Clients- You will have to participate in our 5 ON RAMP Classes or have a year of experience  in CrossFit Movements before you can move to our Level One WOD Class. Here is the Description below. Please go to our Schedule and follow directions to sign up for your First Class! You do not have to do your on ramp classes in order from 1-5 or have to finish in one week. We do want you to get all 5 so you have our core knowledge and movements. Welcome! Call us for any questions or come stop in to check it out.

Schedule:

There are 5 required classes that are offered twice during the week. If a client does not make it to a class, there is a make up on Saturdays and Sundays at 10 am during open gym. Each class has a designed workout at the end of the instruction. (Participation is required). Below is the Times for all 5 of the classes.

Class 1: Mon @ 10:00 A.M or 6:30 P.M

Class 2: Tues @ 6:30 A.M. or 5:30 P.M

Class 3: Wed @ 6:30 A.M. or 6:30 P.M.
